The Revamped Barbados Tint Law Is a Pain…
In 2025, the Barbados government revamped a motor vehicle tint law that had been on the law books since the 1970s. The upgraded law resulted in chaos – motorists would be fined $500 if their tint was not up to scratch, the best tint guys in Barbados were busy and hard to find, and it was an unnecessary expense that many people (especially me) did not plan for.
To say that the timing was awful, was an understatement. My car was going through a phase. I needed new tyres, a rust spot appeared by the rear right light, there was a noise in the left front area which required ball joints and shocks, plus I had to remove tint that was too dark.
Finding the right car people to do these jobs was a pain. I wanted to find the best specialists to sort out each issue because I did not want them to pop up again in three months. I spent countless hours browsing social media and asking friends and family for referrals for the best people to get my car sorted out.
That’s when I realized that there was no easy way to find the perfect car service, so I built a site to make it simple for people like me.
Now, there is a one stop shop to find anyone who deals with cars in Barbados. The good news is that it’s free, the bad news is that there are hundreds of good leads to search through.
